She shares some of her encounters as a young black woman and mother, lessons she learned and how she conquered challenges she endured. Indeed she’s a phenomenal woman! The book is highly inspirational and full of Maya Angelou’s veracious wisdom. Her letter comprises of short essays and poetry. My favorite short essay is titled Commencement Address. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, you can read it in one sitting. The book is described as a handbook that is filled with life learning lessons.
