Project Everyone is a charity founded by Richard Curtis, Kate Garvey and Gail Gallie. They started the charity to share global goals such as such as alleviating poverty, injustice and solving climate change for everyone by 2030. This was launched by United Nations and Project Everyone wants to inform all 7 billion people living on this planet about issues affecting the globe.
Recently the organisation has been on the spot light for remaking the hit song Wannabe by The Spice Girls to empower women and promote girl power. They message #WhatIReallyReallyWant is put an end to injustice and violence against women. The video includes artists from Canada, UK, South Africa, Nigeria, India and the United States. The music video shows the demands of different women from different countries that world leaders should look into to empower women. These demands include education for women, the end to child marriages and equality in the workplace. The organisation wants the movement to grow and women all over the world to take a picture of want they really want to change and these demand will be looked at in September at the UN General Assembly. Check out the video on YouTube.
This is such an amazing initiative because in many countries women don’t have rights and some are limited to domestic work and can’t get basic education. We at Alpha She are excited and we are joining this movement.
