I am sure that most young women dread the arrival of their monthly menstrual cycle. For a few days or a week you will experience awful cramps and for those of you don’t you are so fortunate! Your paranoia levels rise because for some weird reason you are certain that people passing by know that it is that time of the month. You are constantly checking to see if you have left any unexpected marks on seats and not forgetting the minor illness that occurs every month for some women.
Let’s be honest, going to see a gynaecologist or local GP every single month is costly but don’t worry I have found a few home remedies to help cure these sicknesses. The first two remedies are from John H. Renner’s book titled The Home Remedies Handbook.
- To help ease the cramps hold a hot water bottle to the cramped or take a hot bath.
These remedies relax the muscles and reduce the pain. The hot bath also helps to increase circulation to the pelvic area.
- Do some pelvic-tilt exercises
These exercises help with back pain and also help relax the muscles.
Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet on the floor. Tighten your buttocks and roll your pelvis up in order to flatten your upper back against the floor. Hold this position for 5 seconds then relax. Repeat steps.
- To help with nausea and vomiting
Drinking pure lime juice helps with nausea and settles your stomach. After a while, the nauseous feeling goes away.
If you constantly vomiting every month, something that I experienced during my cycle, I would suggest that you try Lewensessens. My mother’s colleague told me about this product and it has stopped the vomiting. Pour a few drops of Lewensesses in a cup with hot water and drink it on the day you start your period.
